Main accused in Fatima’s rape and murder case produced in Islamabad court

The main accused in the case of rape and murder of eight-year-old Mazhar Fatima was produced Friday before an Islamabad district and sessions court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Police demanded that the court send the accused, Ali Akhtar, to jail on judicial remand for the identification parade after which the court will be pleaded with for the physical remand of the accused.

It is to be noted here that an eight-year-old girl named Mazhar Fatima had been murdered after rape in Sector F-12, Islamabad, within the jurisdiction of Sumbal police station.

The police arrested the accused, and they also got the preliminary report of the girl’s post-mortem in which the murder of the girl after rape was confirmed.

The accused also confessed to the crime during interrogation. He told the police that the girl was going to the madrasa when he lured her into an empty house where he raped her.

He said that he had then tied the girl’s mouth and left her alone in the house, adding that he had later thrown the girl’s body into a deserted place at 3am in the night.

The police recovered the girl’s blood-stained clothes and slippers from the empty house and made them part of the post-mortem report.

The dead body of Mazhar Fatima was found on August 13 within the jurisdiction of Sumbal police station.
