Shahdara Police Lahore registered a case against 19 workers, including a woman, following an assault on Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) workers at the office of the ruling party's MPA Samiullah Khan on Monday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the case was filed based on a complaint by the Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) of the Jiya Mosi area at Shahdara Police Station.
The FIR specifically names three individuals—Rafaqat Wahla, Khalid Qari, Aamir, and 16 unidentified persons.
According to the initial reports, the incident occurred three days ago when a LESCO team visited MPA Samiullah Khan's office in Jiya Mosi, Shahdara, following reports of electricity theft.
During the raid, the LESCO workers were allegedly assaulted by PML-N supporters, who reportedly abused them physically with clubs and punches.
As per the channel report, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) MPA Samiullah Khan has strongly denied the allegations, labelling them as false and baseless.
The police have stated that they are actively investigating the incident and have assured that the suspects will be apprehended after digging out the facts.
