Court releases ‘objectionable party’ suspects

A local court Tuesday ordered the release of all suspects who were arrested during a police raid on an alleged objectionable party in the Naseerabad area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel, quoting sources said.

The police apprehended studio owner Janan Sandhu along with transgender performers Ishal and Urooj, who had reportedly danced at the gathering, the insiders said.

They added that other detainees were identified as Muhammad Ali, a sweeper at the studio, and Shahid, who had provided the sound system for the event.

The suspects were presented before the court, where police requested physical remand for further investigation. However, the magistrate rejected the plea and ordered the immediate release of all detainees.

The issue came to spotlight  after Maira B shared a story, showing her describing immoral activities in Lahore.

She described the aim of such activities as ‘simply to destroy the youth, the morality, the family structures and sacred relationships.

Maria claimed that the activities took place in the knowledge of authorities and yet no action was taken. She added that these agendas are those of the enemy.

She also talked about the release of the controversial Joyland movie and asked if Israel’s orders to Pakistan in the UN about decriminalizing same sex activities are being followed.

The clothing designer asked if the parents of all those attending the party know about their children’s whereabouts and the agendas they are following.

Maria has been a supporter and vocal for the Palestinian agenda. She frequently uses her platform to condemn Israeli actions and advocate for a boycott of Israeli goods in protest against atrocities committed against innocent Palestinians. She has also been known for advocating for cultural values and local traditions.
