Chairman Executive Council of South Punjab Soba Mahaz Chaudhry Tahir Bashir Cheema has demanded a police squad for his protocol while he visits anywhere in Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

Tahir Bashir Cheema is spearheading the South Punjab province campaign under the umbrella of Janubi Punjab Soba Mahaz. 

He demanded a police squad for the protocol in every district of the province and for this Additional Secretary Law and Order wrote a letter to the IG Punjab for provision of a police squad in every district to the South Punjab politician.

In a letter, Additional Secretary Law and Order said wherever Tahir Bashir Cheema visits in any district of the province he must be provided with a police squad.

“Tahir Bashir Cheema and his PA’s number have been provided for compliance of the provision of the police squad on his visits,” the letter reads.

The TV channel reported that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had strongly opposed the protocol policy and criticized the personalities who availed the protocol.
