A letter confirming his candidacy has been issued by PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, finalising the party’s decision.

Osama Abdul Karim will contest the by-election on the PML-N’s election symbol “Tiger”.
It is worth noting that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued the by-election schedule for PP-289 on December 6.
Polling for the constituency is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in Dera Ghazi Khan.
