Two accused shot dead in Lahore police encounter

Two under-custody accused were killed during a police encounter in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The police encounter took place near Saiphan Pul in the Batapur area of Lahore.

Police said that some accomplices of the accused attacked the CCD Cantt near Saiphan Pul.

During the exchange of fire, both accused, who were identified as Nadeem and Ali, died at the firing of their accomplices.

Later, the police shifted the dead bodies of both accused to the mortuary of a local hospital for autopsy.

Earlier a drug-dealer, Mohammad Hayat, was gunned down during a police encounter in Lahore.

A Crime Control Department (CCD) team from Iqbal Town, Lahore, was taking the accused for recovery.

On their way, some accomplices of the accused attacked the CCD team in a bid to free the accused from police custody.

During the exchange of fire, the accused Mohammad Hayat was killed by the firing of his accomplices.

CCD police constituted different teams to apprehend the accomplices of the accused.
