Weekly holidays abolished for schools department offices this weekend

The Secretary of the Schools Education Department has abolished the weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday for this week, directing that offices to remain open.

According to an official notification, the Schools Education Department has issued instructions to its subordinate institutions to ensure continuity of work. Directions have been conveyed to the heads of 10 institutions under the department.

The orders apply to all District Education Officers (DPIs), the Children’s Library Complex, the Punjab Education Management Authority (PEMA), and the Punjab Examination Commission and Training Authority (PECTA).

Under the instructions, PECTA and PEMA will brief the Secretary Schools on their ongoing work and performance. The directions were issued by the newly appointed Secretary Schools, who informed all subordinate institutions of the decision.
