Mani hopes to hold PSL in Peshawar next year as trophy unveiled

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Ehsan Mani Wednesday vowed to stage Pakistan Super League matches in Peshawar during next edition.

Addressing a press conference alongwith franchise owners, Mani said they have fulfilled their promise to host entire PSL in Pakistan.

Former squash great Jehangir Khan brought the PSL trophy for this season during the trophy unveiling ceremony.

The PCB chief said fans have made the PSL successful and their enthusiasm and passion was the key for keeping the league afloat and they are supporting the PSL with zeal.

Mani said the PSL craze has not only enthralled the Pakistani fans but also getting popularity in the whole cricketing world.

Terming this year a very important one for Pakistan, the PCB chief said after a gap of 10 years the international cricket has restored fully in the country.

He hoped that the fans would fill every nook and corner of the stadiums to make it a success.

He said the PSL is the biggest event to be staged in the country and would also create a lot of economic activity. He also thanked all franchise owners for making the PSL a success.

Later, franchise owners also expressed their views and assured their all-out support to the PCB to make the event successful.
