Lahori dry cleaner pays the price for lazy service

February 20, 2021 04:56 AM

Returning washed clothes to the customer in an old and torn shopping bag proved costly for the dry cleaner as a consumer court in Lahore on Friday ordered him to wash these clothes eight times for the customer, and that, too, without any charges, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The clothes, three suits, later got dirty after falling from the torn shopping bag when The Mall’s Muhammad Nauman Ali, the customer, was on his way back to his home after receiving these washed garments from the dry cleaner.

This prompted Nauman to seek Rs30, 000 in damages from the consumer court, which ordered the owner of Akram Dry Cleaner to show up and explain his position.

And finally, it was settled that the dry cleaner would wash clothes for the customer eight times, and that, too, free of cost.
