The murder of a class 9 girl, whose dead body bearing torture marks was found on January 20 last, had its drop scene on Saturday after her own lover confessed before Dadu police to strangling her with the help of a friend, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Accused Mehtab Chandio told the Sita Road police after his arrest that he had lured Nagina into eloping with him on the pretext of marriage and took her to Balochistan with the help of a friend named Shaukat Channa.

“After spending a few days in Balochistan, we ran out of money and decided to return. We also sold Nagina’s mobile phone,” he said, adding he told Nagina the truth on their way back home that he had no intention to marry her and no money was left to meet further expenses.

The accused maintained that Nagina feared death at the hands of her family on her return, and she asked him to strangle her with his own hands. “So I strangled her with the help of Shaukat Channa,” he said.
