Rawalpindi police have registered an FIR into the incident of torturing to death a nine-year-old boy by his father, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

The FIR was registered against father of the boy on request of deceased minor’s mother under murder charges. 

The postmortem of the boy, Dervaish, was completed at DHQ. 

According to FIR, two days ago, father of the boy tortured Dervaish for reaching home after running away from school. He beat the boy with a stick. When the boy’s condition deteriorated due to torture, he was shifted to hospital on Saturday noon. However, Dervaish succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. 

The incident took place in Dhok Khabba area in the limits of Police Station Waris Khan.
