Delegations of MQM-P and PML-N deliberate upon govt formation

The delegations of MQM-Pakistan and PML-N met in Islamabad, a spokesperson said on Monday.
According to the spokesperson, the meeting was held at the invitation of the PML-N and the Muttahidda team consisted of Sindh Governor Kamran Tesuri, Syed Mustafa Kamal and Dr Farooq Sattar while Ishaq Dar, Ayaz Sadiq and Muhammad Ahmad Khan represented the Nawaz-League.
Joint efforts to cope with the challenges confronting the country came under discussion, the official said, adding that issues of Sindh were too part of the deliberations.
The MQM-P also sought support from PML-N on a three-point constitutional amendment to join the government, the spokesperson said, adding that leaders of both parties agreed to continue the series of talks and meetings regarding government formation.
The Muttahida’s priority is to provide constitutional protection to the devolution of powers and resources to the grassroots level, the official added.
