Adiala Jail's 6 employees suspended over escape of prisoner

Adiala Jail administration has suspended 6 employees who were found guilty of negligence for 90 days after the escape of the prisoner, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.

The IG Jail Khana has issued an order to suspend the employees of Adiala Jail. The suspended employees include Assistant Superintendent Altaf Hussain, Assistant Superintendent Sajjad Haider, Head Warder Mohammad Riaz, Warder Imran Khan, Warder Amar Zahoor and Sher Zaman. Due to the alleged carelessness of the prison administration, the drug prisoner had escaped from the prison.

Earlier, a high-profile prisoner named in the drug case has allegedly escaped from the jail.

According to the report, the accused named Noman, who hails from Chakwal, was transferred to Central Jail Adiala after his appearance. The concerned staff handed over the accused to the jail administration, but the accused was found missing on the count. 

The jail administration remained silent on the disappearance of the accused, while sources said that the police have started an investigation.
