Animated captains race for glory as ICC drops epic Champions Trophy promo

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has heightened the excitement for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 by releasing a thrilling animated promo just hours before the tournament’s grand opening, 24NewsHD TV reported on Wednesday.

The promo features captains from all eight participating teams, each racing toward the prestigious Champions Trophy in a dynamic and engaging animation. 

Pakistan’s captain, Mohammad Rizwan, also appears in the clip, with his signature shot being highlighted as part of his animated character.

The ICC shared the video across its official social media platforms, fueling excitement among cricket fans worldwide. 

The opening match of the tournament is set to take place today, with host Pakistan facing New Zealand in Karachi.

Before the game, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will host the spectacular ‘Sher Dil Show’, featuring an awe-inspiring air display by PAF fighter jets to thrill the crowd.

This mega event will see eight international teams competing for glory. While most matches will be held in Pakistan, some fixtures are scheduled to take place in the UAE, marking the first time in 39 years that the Emirates will host an international cricket event.

One of the most highly anticipated matches of the tournament will be the Pakistan vs India clash, set to take place in Dubai on February 19, 2025. Cricket fans worldwide are eagerly waiting for this historic showdown.
