Canada warns Europe: Trump’s policies pose a threat

Canada’s Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly has concluded her official visit to Europe, during which she expressed deep concerns over the potential threats posed by the U.S. under Donald Trump’s leadership, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported.

Speaking at the end of her trip, Joly issued a strong wake-up call to European nations, warning that Trump’s aggressive stance toward Canada could impact global stability.

"I have spoken with many European counterparts who are still not fully aware of what’s happening," Joly stated, adding that Washington's policies pose serious economic and political risks.

She further criticized Europe for remaining silent on Trump’s threats of imposing tariffs or even forcing Canada into economic dependence on the U.S..

"Europe has its own challenges in dealing with Washington, but it must not ignore what’s happening to Canada," she stressed.

Canada's diplomatic outreach aims to secure European support in resisting any future U.S. economic pressures, ensuring global alliances remain intact amid shifting geopolitical tensions.
