Trump confident on Ukraine talks, hints at Putin meeting soon

US President Donald Trump has expressed confidence in the ongoing discussions about Ukraine, indicating that progress is being made toward a potential resolution, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media in Washington, Trump reiterated that the U.S. would not deploy troops to Ukraine but stated that if Europe wants to send peacekeeping forces, they are welcome to do so. 

He also dismissed concerns about the complete withdrawal of European troops, saying he does not believe it will be necessary.

Trump made a bold assertion, suggesting that Ukraine could have reached a deal much earlier to avoid the prolonged conflict.

In a major revelation, the US president hinted that he may meet Russian President Vladimir Putin later this month, a move that could reshape geopolitical dynamics.

Switching gears to economic matters, Trump announced that major automobile and electronic chip companies will soon return to the US, emphasising that new car manufacturing plants will be established and that auto tariffs will be set close to 25%.
