Four dead bodies including three of women were discovered from a Lahore house on Wednesday morning shot dead from a point-blank range, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Some unidentified persons entered the house in the wee hours of Wednesday and murdered the four residents including a woman, her two young daughters and a son. Another son of the woman survived the bullets and was later shifted to hospital with injuries.

A large contingent of police has been rushed to the house located in the Gajjumata area in the limits of Kahna Police Station on Ferozepur Road.

The police officers straight away launched their investigation. They later told the newsmen that some people barged into the house and murdered the four occupants. They said the dead included 45-year-old Dr Nadeeh, her 22-year-old son and two 17-year-old and 15-year-old daughters.

First, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Fayyar Ahmad Deo took notice of the incident and sought a report from the SSP Operations Model Town.

Later, Punjab’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Rao Sardar Ali Khan also took notice of the gruesome murders and sought a report from the CCPO.

He also directed the CCPO to dispatch forensic teams to the spot for a thorough analysis of the crime scene.

Rao Sardar Ali Khan also ordered early arrests of the killers and initiating the process for awarding exemplary punishment to them.

The IGP said that the probe should be conducted keeping in view all the angles of the incident.

SSP Investigation Imran Kishwar told the media that they were quizzing the son, Zain, which has survived the tragedy.

According to police, Dr Naheed had been living in this house after her husband Sibtain had divorced her in 2004.

The police said no one in the area has heard the sound of bullets firing. “We have sent the empty bullet shells to the forensic laboratory for analysis. Pistol of 30 bore clibre was used in the murders,” the police added.

The SSP said every angle is being investigated including the family ties.

A CCTV footage obtained from outside the house showed that a car stopped outside the resident at 12:47 am.

A man came out from the left door of the car and entered the house. The car remained outside the lady doctor’s house for about two hours.

The dead bodies were dispatched to Jinnah Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
