Violation of boundary is intolerable, says former FM

Former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has expressed his concerns over the tension between Pakistan and Iran, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

“As a former foreign minister, there is great concern that the border of peace has become hot today,” Shah Mehmood Qureshi said in an informal talks with a media person at Adiala Jail.

He added: “This has not happened in 75 years of relations, the government should consider.  Violation of national boundaries is not tolerated under any circumstances.

He stressed:  “The situation on all four borders is worrying. There are talks of laying bricks on the border of Afghanistan. The conditions of LoC are already tense. Protests have been going on for 22 years at the Gilgit-Baltistan border.”

Regarding his nomination, he said the larger bench has rejected the appeal of his nomination papers

He claimed: ‘False-flag operation drama can be staged in the election year. “I am being technically knocked out with malice.

"In Sindh, my signature is correct and in Punjab the virus infected it. Will the nation accept this election? The future of the nation and the country is being put at stake."

He refused to answer a question about Imran Ismail.
