Pakistan stands with Kashmiris no matter what: Imran

Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday said that this day Pakistan commemorated the historic occasion of Youm-i-Ilhaq-e-Pakistan, when Kashmiris passed a resolution for accession to Pakistan.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, “We reaffirm our commitment to the Kashmiri people and stand with them in their struggle for self-determination.”

Imran Khan said, “Kashmiris right of self-determination is recognised by the UNSC and under international law. We will continue to fight for justice for Kashmiris as the struggle against the brutal and illegal actions of the Hindutva supremacist Indian govt in IOJK.”

“I know that justice will prevail,” the prime minister vowed.

As per the records, On July 19, 1947, a historical resolution for the accession of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan was passed overwhelmingly in the historical convention of All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference presided over by Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas at the residence of Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan in Srinagar.

Despite the Indian Army atrocities, the movement for self-determination has been gaining momentum day by day in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK). Pakistan has constantly reaffirmed its undue commitment to the Self-determination of Kashmiri people and holding of the plebiscite as per the United Nations resolutions.
