Afghan foreign minister thanks PM Khan for showing interest in abduction case

Foreign Minister Shah Makhdoom Mehmood Qureshi and his Afghanistan Foreign Minister Mohammad Hanif Atmar had a telephoned contact in which FM Qureshi briefed his Afghan counterpart on the alleged abduction of Afghanistan envoy to Pakistan and also discussed bilateral issues and also, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Foreign Minister assured the Afghan Foreign Minister that the government of Pakistan would take all possible steps to arrest the culprits and bring them to justice. The alleged incident that took place on July 16, 2021.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is well aware of the prevailing diplomatic tradition and the security of the Afghanistan embassy and consulate have been further increased,” he told his Afghan counterpart.
The Afghan Foreign Muhammad Hanif Atmar thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for taking a personal interest in the investigation into the incident and said Afghanistan appreciated Pakistan efforts to increase security at the Afghan embassy and consulate.
The Afghan Foreign Minister said that Afghanistan attaches special importance to bilateral relations with Pakistan and was committed to its stability.
The two foreign ministers agreed to continue contacts on issues of mutual interest.
