Man arrested, two doctors suspended over selling fake vaccination cards
A man involved in selling fake vaccination cards got arrested while his supporting doctors were suspended in Dadu, Sindh on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the accused agent was selling fake cards to those who had a fear of administrating vaccination at the Corona Vaccination Center constituted in Civil Hospital, Dadu.
During the initial investigations, he accepted before the District Health Officer (DHO) that some doctors were also involved in the scam.
The accused said he was getting Rs2000 to Rs3000 per person for issuing fake vaccination cards. The major share of it allegedly goes to the doctors of the center.
He also disclosed that he was making more than 15 fake cards daily.
The DHO constituted a committee comprising of three doctors to probe into the scandal and order to present a report within the next 24 hours.
DHO Zahid did not disclose the name of the accused agent and the doctors till getting the probe committee’s report.
