A division bench of Peshawar High Court has accepted the bail application of JUI (F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s right-hand man former DFO Musa Khan Baloch after the NAB court failed to complete the trial within a stipulated timeframe, reported 24NewsHDTV channel on Monday.

The high court gave a dressing down to the accountability court for being unable to complete the trial on which the NAB court extended its apology.

Reportedly, the close aide to Maulana Fazl, ex-DFO Musa Khan was arrested by the NAB Peshawar on 23 Sept, 2020 in assets beyond means case. Mr Baloch spent at least 10 months in jail during the case hearing. More than 48 witnesses were brought forward in the court against him. But the NAB court failed to decide the case in six months’ timeframe as was stipulated by the high court.

A division bench of Peshawar High Court consisting of Justice Shakil Ahmed and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah Khan accepted the bail application of Mr Baloch and ordered his release.

The PHC division bench showed its anger over the NAB court which sought the forgiveness of the court.
