Pakistan reports 2,452 new coronavirus cases; 30 deaths

As many as 30 more people succumbed to coronavirus and 2,452 new cases emerged during the last 24 hours, (Sunday) showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.

According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of 30 new deaths, the toll has now surged to 22,811 which represents a ratio of 2.3 percent.

The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan has reached 4.95 percent, as 2,452 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 49,503 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 991,727 that returned positive after conducting 15,443,477 total tests so far.

The number of active cases in the country is 48,850 with 2,532 patients in critical condition.

There were 903 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 920,066 with a 92.8% recovery rate.

Punjab

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 359 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 350,618 with 9,981 active cases. In Punjab, 10 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 10,881. With 129 new recoveries, 329,756 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

Sindh

Sindh has recorded 1,467 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 356,929 with 30,609 active cases. With 18 new deaths related to the deadly disease, the death toll in Sindh reached 5,720. With 385 new recoveries, 320,600 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 258 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 140,818 with 2,288 active cases. The province reported one new virus-related death as the death toll reached 4,386. With 100 new recoveries, 134,144 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan

Balochistan has recorded another 30 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 29,110 with 1,530 active cases. The province reported no new death as the death toll remains 319. With 71 new recoveries, 27,261 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad

Islamabad has recorded 159 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 84,722 with 2,057 active cases. With no new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll remains at 787. With 98 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 81,878 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 127 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 22,116 with 1,520 active cases. With no new deaths reported, the death toll remains at 601. There were 43 new recoveries in the AJK as 19,995 patients have recovered so far from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit-Baltistan recorded 52 new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached 7,414 with 865 active cases. One new death was reported in the province as the death toll reached 117. There were 77 new recoveries as the number of patients recovered from the deadly disease reached 6,432
