Police arrest two TTP terrorists in Karachi
Steel Town Police in Karachi have arrested two terrorists of terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Sajna group, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per initial investigations, both the accused joined the TTP Sajjan group in 2013 and were highly trained from Afghanistan. Police have also seized short machine guns, grenades, ammunition and other items from the terrorist’s procession. Police have revealed that Sajjna group commander Fakhruddin aka Malang used to collect extortion from the Manghopir area of Karachi in the name of TTP, a proscribed outfit.
While arrested terrorist Saifullah who used his name Saddam Hussain or Mohsin also taken to Manghopir police station due to security concerns. He had attacked containers carrying NATO goods at the Northern Bypass in 2013. Saifullah along with his accomplices confessed to setting the container on fire. After the incident the accused escaped from Karachi.
Both accused terrorists’ also brainwashed youths of Manghopir area to join TTP. The arrested accused were involved in a number of robberies in Karachi, including extortion incidents. SSP Malir Irfan Bahadur said that both suspects are being prosecuted and interrogated and arrests of the other suspects are also expected.
