The teachers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) protesting at Bani Gala, Islamabad, after crossing all barriers, reached the gates of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s residence and held a sit-in there, while later they also entered the home of Imran’s sister Aleema Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Sensing danger, a large contingent of police and the youth of PTI’s Tiger Force reached the spot.
Tiger Force jawans tried to disperse the protestors on their own, forcing the police to intervene and ask them not to take the law into their own hands.
Marriyum Aurangzeb censures Imran over protest:
On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb, while commenting on the teachers’ protest at Bani Gala, said that Imran was reaping what he had sowed. “The kind of protest he is facing these days is the same he has been holding for the last several years against his political opponents,” she commented.
In a tweet, she also shared with the readers a private TV channel’s video footage in which the teachers could be seen protesting at Bani Gala for the acceptance of their demands and even entering Aleema’s home. https://twitter.com/Marriyum_A/status/1549390640567521286?cxt=HHwWjMC81YOlxYArAAAA
