Police arrested a fiendish youth for allegedly raping a mentally-challenged, deaf and mute girl in Chandar village, Narowal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to police, the accused forcefully took the girl to a Haveli as soon as she came out of her house and raped her.

Meanwhile, the girl’s family and neighbours also started search for the girl. They gathered around and broke into the Haveli as the girl’s screams had alerted them.

The accused fled the scene, but he had been arrested by police within a few hours.

The police registered a case against the accused identified as Sami Wasif and launched a further investigation against him.

“The accused has been found guilty of raping the girl in the initial medical report,” police said.

The Narowal district police officer (DPO) vowed to take stern action against the accused.
