Woman sanitation worker ends her life to secure son's future in India

 An Indian woman sanitation worker ended her life by jumping in front of a bus to get financial assistance from the government to secure her son's future.

Media reports citing sources said 45-year-old Paapaathi was struggling with depression due to her inability to pay her son's college fees.

She took the extreme step on June 28 as someone misled him about road accident compensation, the reports added.

She raised her children single-handedly for the last 15 years after getting separated from her husband.
