Cocaine Queen Anmol Pinky's brother arrested with ice in Karachi

Karachi police have arrested Kamran Murad, the brother of drug dealer Anmol, also known as Cocaine Queen Pinky Don, during a narcotics operation in the city, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

Jamshed Quarters Police said they recovered two kilograms of hashish and half a kilogram of crystal meth, commonly known as ice, from the suspect during the operation. 

According to the Karachi police, the accused Kamran Murad has been taken into custody, and further legal proceedings are under way.

The latest arrest comes as court proceedings continue against Anmol alias Pinky in several drug-related cases. 

On July 11, a Karachi court provided the accused with copies of the charge sheets and witness statements in six separate cases while she remained in jail and fixed a date for her indictment.

According to jail authorities, Anmol had remained a proclaimed absconder in the six cases for six years. 

Acting on the court's orders, officials personally served the legal documents on the accused in prison before the hearing was adjourned for two weeks.

Police said the six cases were registered between 2020 and 2022 and that Anmol had evaded arrest until she was taken into custody in connection with a case registered at Garden Police Station. 

Following that arrest, she was formally arrested in the remaining cases.

According to a police report submitted to the court in June, Anmol was arrested on 12 May. Investigators also detained three alleged facilitators, identified as Zeeshan, Sohail and Sameer.

Police informed the court that seven alleged associates remain at large. The absconding suspects have been identified as Fayyaz, Aqib, Hamza, Aijaz, Zaid, and two women, Sabira and Anna. 

Authorities said efforts to locate and arrest the remaining suspects are continuing as investigators seek to determine the full extent of the alleged drug trafficking network.
