Gunmen open fire on Education Dept bus in Mastung; four injured

Four people were injured after armed assailants opened fire on a Balochistan Education Department coaster bus on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway in the Guroh area of Khad Kocha, Mastung, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to police officials, the attackers targeted the government-owned coaster while it was travelling along the highway, injuring four passengers. 

They said emergency responders reached the scene and launched rescue efforts.

Authorities also confirmed that two of the injured were immediately transferred to Quetta for specialised medical treatment, while the remaining injured received medical assistance locally.

Police said the Education Department coaster was travelling from Quetta to Panjgur when it came under attack. 

An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible.
