Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) chairman to submit a plan for the upgradation of the Capital Emergency Service within seven days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

He took notice of the fact that the no new vehicle had been added to the Service’s fleet since 2009.

The minister lauded the performance of the Service whose fire brigade vehicles and ambulances responded to a mock call made by Acting Deputy Commissioner Sahibzada Yousaf and reached the site within eight minutes.

He mingled with the Service staffers and appreciated their agility and quick response.

He also inquired from them the issues they were facing.

Naqvi said that response time was of extreme importance in any emergency. “I am delighted that the Service’s firefighters and ambulances reached the site on time.”

He assured that the provision of new vehicles and latest equipment to the Service would be ensured.
