The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) on Sunday summoned former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister Noreen Niazi on Monday (July 20) for making controversial remarks about the Pakistan Army in an interview, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to the notice issued to Noreen under Section 160 of the CrPC, there is an allegation against her that she spread baseless and provocative content against the state institutions on social media.

Imran’s sister was directed to appear in the Cyber Crime Office in Sector G-13/3 of the federal capital at 12:00 on Monday and record her statement.

Noreen had alleged that the Pak-India military confrontation in May last year was a drama, which had been staged by both India and Pakistan to increase respect for the Pakistan Army in the eyes of people.

She had gone on to say that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was not at all scared by the Pakistan Army. “He could have fixed it within minutes,” she said, and added, “However, he did not do so because he had been asked by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to attack Pakistan because the latter was going to recognise Israel.”

Noreen had further alleged that the present regime in Pakistan is US President Donald Trump’s ‘blue-eyed boy’ because after Dubai it is Pakistan which is going to sign the Abraham Accords and recognise Israel. “The present government is in contact with Israel,” she had said.

On the other hand, defence experts have termed Noreen’s statement a ‘pack of lies’, saying that under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan’s armed forces made India bite the dust.

They have said that the former prime minister’s sister has crossed the ‘Red Line’.

They have urged saner people in the PTI to condemn Noreen’s remarks.

On the other hand, Indian TV channels have started using the statement given by Imran’s sister to malign Pakistan and Pakistan Army.

Previously too, Noreen issued controversial statements, which were exploited by the Godi Media.

Not only that, she has also been hurling threats at the state institutions.
