Clash between PML-N, PTI workers leaves many injured in Lahore

Two political parties have indulged in a scuffle in Lahore which led to firing and club beating in which two people got hurt, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Reportedly, a brawl broke out between two by-election groups of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf at Allah Ho Chowk, Johar Town, Lahore. The activists of both the parties became livid and opened fire on each other. Some started beating members of rival group with clubs. As a result, two activists got hurt.
PML-N’s Nazir Chohan and PTI’s Khalid Gujjar accused each other of starting firing.
PML-N candidate Chohan who was former MPA alleged that activists of opponent party opened fire on his car.
Police said that Mr Chohan was narrowly escaped in the firing incident while his son Muaz was hurt during the clash. Their guard also got injured when he was beaten up with clubs by the rival party’s activists.
Mr Chohan said that those who opened fire, they immediately fled the scene.
On the other hand, Khalid Gujjar said that Mr Chohan was unloading flex banners in front of his party’s office. He alleged that the PML-N candidate hit the PTI workers with his car, then injured his son and tried to take photographs. He said three of the PTI workers got hurt in the scuffle.
He said his son’s condition was good and he was receiving medical treatment at Jinnah Hospital. He further said that the injured party workers were also getting medical treatment.
