Punjab govt to establish Lady Bar Rooms in all districts

The Punjab government has approved a landmark initiative to construct Lady Bar Rooms in every district across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to sources in the Law Department, this initiative has officially been included in the Punjab Budget 2025–26. 

Under the first phase of the scheme, a total of Rs450 million has been allocated for the development of dedicated bar rooms for women lawyers.

These Lady Bar Rooms will be built inside the court premises (kachehris) of each district, providing much-needed professional space for female advocates to work and collaborate.

This initiative is being hailed as a progressive step towards facilitating women in the legal profession, offering them safe and inclusive workspaces across the province.
