Pakistani media helped strengthen ties with US, says Natalie Baker

US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker on Friday praised the Pakistani media for its balanced and positive coverage, saying it had played an important role in promoting relations between Pakistan and the United States.

Speaking on Pak-US relations, Baker expressed gratitude to Pakistani media organisations for their constructive reporting and said the coverage had contributed to strengthening mutual understanding between the two countries.

She said the Pakistan-US partnership was currently at its highest level and described recent developments as a positive sign for bilateral ties.

Baker said US President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir remained in regular contact, which was helping further deepen cooperation between the two countries.

She said recent developments between Pakistan and the United States were strengthening bilateral relations and opening new avenues for cooperation.

The US diplomat also described Pakistan's role in global politics as increasingly important and central, saying Islamabad was playing a significant part in regional and international affairs.

Baker said recent agreements between the two countries would help promote regional stability and contribute to lasting peace.

She reiterated the United States' commitment to maintaining strong relations with Pakistan and advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
