Lt Agha, other martyred soldiers laid to rest

Funeral prayers of martyred soldier Lt Agha Muqadas Ali Khan, who had sacrificed his life during an operation against terrorists in North Waziristan yesterday, was offered In Lahore Thursday.
The martyr’s relatives, colleagues, military officials and citizens attended the prayers after which floral wreaths were placed at his grave on behalf of the president and the army chief.
On the other hand, the other three martyrs – Havaldar Qamar Nadeem and Sepoy Muhammad Qasim of Layyah as well as Sepoy Tauseef of Narowal – were also laid to rest in their native areas after funeral prayers.
These soldiers had embraced martyrdom in an intelligence-based operation against terrorists near Dattakhel in North Waziristan on Wednesday.
According to the ISPR, the operation was carried out in Mama Ziarat, seven kilometres southwest of Dattakhel. Seven terrorists were also eliminated in the gunfight and a large cache of arms, ammunition and IEDs recovered from their hideout.
