Pakistan coronavirus cases shoot up to 458

The total number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan shot up to 458 on Thursday due to the spike in the number of patients in Punjab and Balochistan.

Pakistan on Wednesday had also reported its first two deaths from the deadly virus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On Thursday, Pakistan reported 154 new cases with no new casualty. In, province of Sindh 37 new cases have been reported to day to take the tally to 245. In Punjab, Punjab Health Minister Yasim Rashid reported 45 more cases in the province that took the tally to 80 cases in the most populous province of the country. In Balochistan, 53 new cases were reported taking the toll to 81.

A spokesman of the Balochistan government earlier confirmed 22 new cases of the coronavirus. The spokesman said 256 people underwent tests, 22 came positive taking the Balochistan toll to 45. He said the affected people are being shifted to the isolation wards.

In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, four more patients were tested positive for the COVID-19 to take the total to 23. 

Eight new case surfaced in Gilgit Baltistan taking the tally to 21. Federal Capital eight cases remained seven and Azad Kashmir has also just one case that had been reported yesterday.
