Two federal ministers of Imran Khan’s cabinet have once again indulged in a face-off as Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has claimed that the government allies got seats in the elections because of seat adjustment with the PTI and the claim has promptly been rebuffed by PML-Q leader Moonis Elahi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The PML-Q’s Minister for Water Resources Moonis Elahi was quick to respond to Information Minister Fawad Ch who claimed in an interview given to a private TV channel saying that it was due to seat adjustment that the government allies were able to win seats in elections.

Moonis confronted the information minister asking him who precisely helped whom? He reminded Fawad Ch that even after the seat adjustment, the PTI MPA had got less votes than the PML-Q MNA from the same constituency. He asked the information minister to check the result from election commission.

He said that Fawad Ch claimed that government allies won election due to seat adjustment otherwise they could not even get more than one or two seats.

A few days ago, Information Minister Fawad Ch took a harsh dig at the PML-Q for blackmailing the government.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid on March 12 censured the PML-Q during a media talk in Quetta in which he said that people having only five seats were blackmailing the PTI for getting the Punjab chief minister slot.

Reacting to the Interior Minister’s statement, Moonis Elahi said “I respect Sheikh Sahib but he is forgetting that he during his student life used to take money from the elders of my party.”

PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain also took Sh Rashid’s statement seriously and expressed displeasure over it. He said that Sh Rashid should not have made such a statement.
