TTP commander Wali Rehman arrested from Karachi, heavy explosives recovered

Counter Terror Department (CTD) Karachi, during an operation against banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) operatives, arrested terror commander Wali Rehman and recovered hand grenades as well as other explosive material from his possession, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to CTD spokesman, terrorist Wali Khan belonged to Commander Azmatullah alias Tariq group who was involved in series of terror attacks on security forces.
The CTD officials conducted the operation in Manghupir Norris Chowrangi area in Karachi on secret information.
According to CTD spokesman the arrested accused along with his other accomplices had attacked Pakistan Army and FC in South Waziristan in 2004. He was involved in attacks on FC Fort supply site in 2006.
In 2007, the accused targeted a member of the Peace Committee. The accused received suicide bomber training from the slain TTP commander Qari Hussain. Earlier, the accused had fled to Dubai in 2009 fearing arrest.
A case was registered against the accused in CTD police station and further investigation was underway.
