EOBI achieves Rs65.7 billion profit in 8-month
Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain chaired a high-level meeting to review the eight-month performance of the Employees' Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) in Islamabad.
Federal Secretary Dr. Arshad Mahmood, EOBI Chairman, and Deputy Director General of Operations also attended the session.
During the meeting, it was told that EOBI successfully recovered Rs50 billion in the last eight months and generated Rs54 billion through investments, marking a 41 percent increase in revenue.
Employees' Old-Age Benefits Institution paid Rs. 37.5 billion in pensions, benefiting 850,000 people. Additionally, EOBI earned a net profit of Rs. 65.7 billion during this period. The federal minister expressed satisfaction with the institution’s performance and emphasized continued efforts for the welfare of pensioners.
