PM Imran pledges more help to laid-off labourers
Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said that Pakistan government will give four rupees more on every rupee donated for the Ehsaas Emergency Cash, a government’s flagship programme to assist the vulnerable and laid-off labourers amid the COVID-19.
He said in a tweet, “Yesterday I met recipients of #EhsaasEmergencyCash Category IV for labourers laid off work, funded by Prime Minister’s COVID Relief Fund. For every rupee donated, govt will give 4 more.”

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Sania Nishter said to maximize the impact of PM COVID-19 funded Ehsaas Emergency Cash, the Prime Minister has committed that for each rupee donated by donors, four rupees will be committed by the government.

It is pertinent to note that Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme for the job-loss affectees (category-4) on Sunday.
