IGP and Additional IG Establishment Punjab promoted to grade 22

The Federal Government’s Establishment Division has issued orders for the promotion of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Rao Sardar Ali Khan to Grade 22. 

According to details, Establishment Division has promoted two officers of Punjab Police from Grade 21 to Grade 22, including Punjab Police Chief Rao Sardar Ali Khan and Additional IG Establishment Punjab, Ali Amir Malik. 

Both promoted officers are considered as one of the most professional, honest and experienced officers of Pakistan Police Service and have special experience of performing duties in very important positions.

Prior to his appointment as IG Punjab, Rao Sardar Ali Khan has served as MD Punjab Safe City Authority and Additional IG Welfare and Finance Punjab, CPO. He has served in the Intelligence Bureau for over 5 years. He has also been serving as CPO Faisalabad, DIG Operations Lahore, RPO Sargodha, RPO Bahawalpur. Rao Sardar Ali Khan has also served in Australia and the United Nations Mission for two years. 

After his appointment as IG Punjab, Rao Sardar Ali Khan has taken special measures to protect the lives and property of the citizens and provide them services easily. The provision of uniform resources for police station upgradation, additional facilities and equal provision of resources to operations and investigations wings are among his remarkable achievements. 

Observation of zero tolerance on corruption and abuse of power and appointment of officers on merit is an important part of Rao Sardar Ali Khan's policy which is leading to elimination of crime from the province and improvement of law and order situation. On the direction of IG Punjab, Punjab Police Rawalpindi has recently started a tourist police in Murree, which is providing special facilities and assistance to the tourists coming to Murree.

Additional IG Establishment Punjab, Ali Amir Malik also belongs to the 18th Common of Pakistan Police Service. He is currently holding the post of Additional IG Establishment Punjab in the Central Police Office while he also holds the additional charge of Additional IG Internal Accountability Branch. Ali Amir Malik has previously served as MD Safe Cities Authority, Additional IG Logistics and Procurement, RPO Gujranwala Region, DIG Tele and Transport, DIG Discipline and Internal Investigation, RPO Multan, DIG PHP, DIG Investigation Lahore.
