NIH data shows daily number of tests stands at 2,693: India logs 865 new coronavirus cases

Another person lost his life to Covid-19 as Pakistan has registered another 13 infections during the last 24 hours (Thursday), showed the data released by the National Institute of Health (NIH) on Friday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the NIH data, the death toll in the country climbed up to 30,662 now whereas the number of total infections rose to 1,580,935 after adding the fresh 13 cases.
During the last 24 hours (Thursday), 2,693 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 0.48%. The number of patients in critical care stood at seven.
India logs 865 new Covid-19 cases
India has recorded 865 new coronavirus infections, while the active cases have decreased to 9,092 from 10,179, according to the Health Ministry data updated on Friday.
The death toll has increased to 531,818 with four deaths which include one reconciled by Kerala, the data updated at 8 am stated. The Covid case tally was recorded at 4.49 crore (4,49,84,923).
The active cases now comprise 0.02 percent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.79 percent, the ministry said.
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 4,44,44,013 and the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.18 percent.
According to the ministry's website, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.–HT
