Pak-Bangladesh T20 series schedule yet to be finalized

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) are currently in discussions to finalize the schedule for the upcoming T20  series between the two nations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Despite earlier announcements, the series dates and venues have yet to be confirmed as both boards continue to evaluate various scheduling options, sources reveal.

The PCB has formally reached out to the BCB, presenting several options for the series in an effort to finalize the itinerary.

One of the proposals from the Bangladesh Cricket Board suggests that the series begin immediately after the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), with the opening match on May 27 in Lahore.

However, the PCB is reportedly in favor of initiating the series at Faisalabad's Iqbal Stadium from May 27.

Furthermore, the PCB has assured the BCB that the entire series will be completed before Eid ul-Adha.

Sources added that the multiple formats for the series are under discussion.

In one proposed schedule, three matches would be held on May 27, 29, and 30, with the final match aligning with Lahore's cricket calendar.

Another option suggested reducing the number of matches from five to three to ease scheduling pressures.

If all goes according to plan, the Pakistan-Bangladesh T20 series is expected to conclude by June 5.
