Pakistan, Qatar to bolster anti-terror cooperation

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held indepth talks during a meeting with Ambassador of Qatar in Pakistan Ali Mubarak Ali Essa Al-Khater in Islamabad on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

During the meeting, both dignitaries discussed recent visit of the Interior Minister to Qatar and the prevailing situation following ceasefire between Pakistan and India.

On this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi said that Pakistan is a peace-loving country who always desired for peace and wanted peace in the whole region.

He termed his recent visit to Qatar successful as Qatar’s Vice-Prime Minister and Interior Minister agreed to strengthen cooperation in anti-narcotics, anti-terrorism, security cooperation and teaching programmes.

Mohsin Naqvi said that a high-level delegation from Qatar will also pay a follow-up visit to Pakistan. He said that both countries committed to promote and strengthen cooperation in different fields.

A delegation headed by federal secretary for interior will visit Qatar in which heads of all departments who falls under Ministry of Interior will be included.

Mohsin Naqvi said that Qatar is a sincere country and these relations became an asset for Pakistan.

Interior Secretary Mohammad Khurram Agha and other high-level officials were also present on the occasion.
