Dog delays flight take-off at Karachi Airport

The presence of a dog on runway at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport (JIAP) halted Airblue flight’s departure to Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to details, an Airblue flight PA-208 was ready to take off from Karachi for Islamabad.

Soon, the air traffic controller took notice of the presence of a dog, standing in the middle of the runway. The ATC immediately informed the airport officials.

After obtaining clearance from the air traffic controller, the flight departed for Islamabad on Monday night.

Later, proceedings were started as per the safety protocols. The flight operation remained halted at the airport.

Pakistan Airport Authority has already installed thermal imaging cameras. The surveillance through these cameras will be strengthened soon.
