Imran Khan undergoes medical checkup at Adiala Jail
A medical examination of the jailed former prime minister Imran Khan was conducted at Adiala Jail on Tuesday, according to prison sources.
Sources said the medical team consisting of Dr. Arif Khan, Prof Nadeem Qureshi and other doctors, arrived at the jail along with medical equipment to examine Khan, who is also founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). The team included specialists from PIMS and Shifa Eye Trust.
According to prison officials, the doctors conducted a follow-up examination of the PTI founder’s affected eye, while a complete medical check-up was also carried out during the visit. An ophthalmologist, assisted by the PIMS medical team, took part in the examination process.
Prison sources said the medical team remained inside Adiala Jail for approximately one and a half hours before leaving the premises after completing the examination.
The medical team is expected to submit its report to the Islamabad commissioner, sources added.
