Hafiz Saeed awarded 10-year jail in funding case

Head of now-defunct Jamaat-ud-Dawah (JuD) Hafiz Saeed has been awarded a jail sentence in an illegal funding case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
An anti-terrorism court in Lahore while announced the verdict handing JuD chief jail term of 10 years and six months.
ATC judge Arshad Hussain Bhatta also imposed Rs110,000 fine and ordered the confiscation of Hafiz Saeed’s properties.
The court also awarded six-month imprisonment to Hafiz Abdur Rahman Makki whereas Zafar Iqbal and Yahya Aziz were awarded jail terms of 10 years and six months.
This was the fourth case in which the verdict was announced against Hafiz Saeed, who had been arrested in July 2019.
