In yet another incident of violence against children, the burnt body of seven-year-old girl was found in Peshawar on Thursday morning a day after she went missing, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Rabia had gone missing from Mohalla Balo Khel Bala of Badaber – a village located on Kohat Road around 10 kilometres south of the city – on Wednesday afternoon at 3pm. But hours later, the victim’s body was found in the local graveyard.
It is the second such incident in the area in recent days. On Saturday, the tortured body of a four-year-old deaf and mute boy was found from the fields after police had registered a case two days earlier when he went missing.
The police have sent the body for the post-mortem.
Local residents started protesting against the tragic incident and blocked Kohat Road to demand immediate arrest of the culprits.
The police formed a team which will be headed by senior superintendent police (SSP) investigation and Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar ordered officials to immediately arrest the responsible persons.
