The Federal Minister for Railways Azam Swati, who was on a surprise visit, was surrounded by the passengers at the Lahore railway station and criticized for trains’ delay.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, several trains were seven hours late and a large number of passengers were sitting on the platforms in a wait at the Lahore Railways Station.

Federal Minister Swati said that he was saddened to see the mistreatment of passengers at the railway station.

He also removed Divisional Superintendent Lahore Nasir Khalili, Divisional Commercial Officer Anwar Sadat Marwat and Divisional Transportation Officer Shahid Raza for this mismanagement.

Azam Swati said that those who do not respect the passengers do not deserve any concession.

 The Federal Minister said that he apologized to all the passengers who had been sitting on the ground for seven hours waiting for the trains.
