A man opened indiscriminate firing on his brother’s family injuring him seriously while killing his wife and son over suspicion of witchcraft in Kasur on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The man suspected his sister-in-law (brother’s wife) of performing witchcraft on him in Chunian tehsil of Kasur.

According to police, the incident occurred in Dhakko, a nearby village in Chunian where Inamullah, accused his sister-in-law of practising witchcraft and fired shots at the family. 

As a result, his brother Azimullah received critical wounds, and his 37-year-old sister-in-law Mehwish and her two-year-old son Zunair died.

The Saddar police station officials moved the bodies and the injured to Tehsil Hospital Chunian, from where Azimullah, who was in critical condition, shifted to Lahore later. 

According to initial information, Mehwish succumbed to her injuries in the hospital while the child died on the spot.

SHO Saddar Police Station Muhammad Irfan reached the crime scene and collected the evidence and formed a team to search for the escaped accused.
